2020 Election and Aftermath

Most of those who are reading this are probably disappointed at this point about the events that have taken place the last few weeks. This is why the election may have ended up as it did. I am going on the premise that Trump is not going to win this. It will most likely play out in the courts. And though I pray for the right outcome, I fear it will not be. Which brings me to this, and I speak to Christians and believers. Many of us ask, “How can this be your purpose, your will?” It vexes the mind. We say to ourselves, we love our country, we love YOU, we love our flag, we love our traditions. Yeah, we have our scars, but dadgum, really? We are, for the most part, the most celebrated country in the world. People continue to flock to this country...and its not because we are socialist. No, it's because we embody, Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. I have been thinking about this for about a week and a half, and again, just my take. I speak what I feel and that is who I am. Some people may not be interested in what I have to say. That’s fine. I bid you a good day. It’s cool.

I can’t even entertain what God’s will is. I am just going on a deep down spiritual feeling that I have. This election was a message to America. This election was, for the most part, a referendum on where we want to go as a nation. Now, that may sound counterintuitive because if Trump loses, then many will feel that, at our core, we are moving left, but the election was so split it reveals to us more than just our initial fears. But remember, they cheated. You may disagree, but most reasonable folks probably have a queasy feeling inside that just doesn't seem right. But we can take this away, DJT got more than 73 million votes. More than Obama, Clinton, and any sitting President....ever. So, we must always look at the positives. And besides, it’s not a legitimate movement on their side. I would submit that a resounding majority of Americans reject this whole leftist/progressive agenda. It’s mostly fabricated by a small minority of people on each coast, and a few pockets in between. On our side you have pillars of what we stand for: Constitution, Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights, Freedom, Liberty, the Flag, the Idea that IS America. On their side they have promises, freebies, irresponsibility, social causes of further alienating the citizenry, cancel culture, wokism. They tried to fool the people, and when Biden gets in there, a lot of regular Americans are going to see what we have known all along, Joe Biden is declining mentally. It’s unfortunate (as a human being to say that) for that. The Republicans and Independents need to galvanize. We have the most diverse platform that we have ever had. We have the majority of the issues on our side. The issues are the working man's and woman’s issues. Nobody worked harder for us than Trump. This is no time to join the Democrats and compromise. They are slowly being consumed by the progressive movement. They have no one to blame but themselves. They could have stopped this in its tracks years ago, but they signed on to the likes of Obama, Warner, Sanders, and so on, and now the kraken has been released, the genie has been let out of the bottle, and whatever other idiom you can attach to this, it’s ugly, it’s anti-American, and if not throttled NOW, will eventually consume all of us. But, it is no surprise. The Defecators are the party of lawlessness, irresponsibility, unaccountability, double standards, hypocrisy, and so on. And the Republicans are no wet dream, trust me. I left that party when they failed to support 43 after 2004. And I worry the same may happen here for 45. A lot of Romnepublicans are sheep. They are weak and they are, for lack of a better description, pathetic. Again, the bulldog are the Defecators and the whining chihuahua are the Republicans who get slapped around by the bulldog. The moderate Democrats need to wake up and see what’s happening to their party. Common sense Dems need to stop their self-inflicted bleed. If we (and they) allow this to continue then America as we know it will no longer exist.

We need to seize upon this moment and fight like we never had before. It has to be a hard fought fight because the left has radicals who foam at the mouth for their cause. For the most part, the Republicans have been able to push right-wingers to the margins, and rightfully so, there are many ways to get the job done: issues and the law for starters. For the vast majority of Americans, we have a rationale, reasonable, country lovin’, flag wavin’, populist, God worshipping majority. And we need to dig in our heels and not let this happen. Trump gave us the template. We need to take the next few years and focus on local and state elections to keep and put the right people in power. And in 2024, we need to put forth a candidate, whether it be Trump again, or someone he tabs as a Trump successor. We all know the media has completely discredited itself. There are not enough adjectives and adverbs to describe how they have literally slid down the toilet of journalism. It’s losing viewership like a stripper loses clothes, and we need to stay true to who we are, stick to the truth, not form our own propaganda, but to remain truthful. We need to have faith in one another. I know this may sound stupid, but Ralph Waldo Emerson once talked about a corn field. Alone, a corn stalk is vulnerable, weak, and cannot sustain itself, but together can produce abundantly, be strong against the mightiest storms, and rely on one another for protection and pollination. Visualize that.

This is the story between two siblings. One gets what they want, can do whatever they want, not be held accountable. The other is scrutinized for everything and must always remain vigilant. But that’s okay, the scrutinized child is going to do the right thing. They are going to remain focused to not let their guard down. The irresponsible child is coddled and placated and thus becomes easily shattered with adversity and obstacles. The vigilant will always come out on top. The media has allowed the Defecators to do and say what they want. The Trumpists are the vigilant. We must always pursue what is right, what is honest, what is truthful. We need to remain the adult in the room in a room amongst children and entitled brats. We have to do this. This is NOT REALLY A CHOICE. WE HAVE TO DO THIS. This is an all hands on deck situation for Republicans, Independents, and common sense Democrats. We have to take them at their word. They remind me of that line in The King and I, “So let it be written, so let it be done.” That’s their plan, period. There is no system they will not dismantle, no pillar of America they will not tear down. This is no longer about Trump. This is about US. If we do not act, stay in the game, play hardball, then the slippery slide of our great country will continue. Do we want the leadership of Pelosi, Schumer, AOC, Omar, Obama, Biden, Harris, Sanders, Clinton, and others like that. Or, do we want real leadership in the name of Trump, Geatz, DeSantis, Cotton, Hawley, Kennedy, and a myriad of others?

Every morning when we wake up we make choices. So the choice is yours. What choice are you going to make? Are you going to stand on the sidelines and hope, or are you willing to step into the ring, be active, involved, interested?

My first step is to always write your local and state reps. Keep the game within the game in your own state. Then, venture outside (travel internationally) to other states and contact others. We can only insulate ourselves so much and for so long before the plague reaches our doorstep, and that is what this is. Yes, we have the china virus, but the new virus is progressivirus-20. Let’s vaccinate ourselves against this “American Ideals” killer and get to work.

The Politics of a Virus

So, this is what happens when you inject politics into a major health situation. You get misinformation, lies, agendas, and the sacrifice of the greater citizenry. This is not aimed at those who work that hour to hour job or rely on services to make a living. No, this is aimed at people like me. People who can safely work from home or are guaranteed their income. I cannot tell you how much I have prayed for those good people in the trenches of our society who really make the wheels turn and yet they are the ones who are being sacrificed. “We’re in this together.” Yeah, for about 15 minutes, then a certain party realized they could exploit and take advantage of the situation. Just consider who is REALLY FIGHTING FOR YOU! So yeah, I am so disgusted with the whole notion of this coronavirus crap. I firmly believe many of these people in charge have no idea what they are doing. Science this, science that. And yet, science that is contrary to “their science” is fallacy, lies. It’s absurd and it’s hurting our country.

First of all, as most of you know, we lost our father to this f****** China virus. He and my mom were in AL and supposed to be protected. Testing negative only 10 days before having to go to the hospital with virtually zero chance because it was too far in to the virus. And yes, I will go on record as saying this virus was willfully released. You can call me a conspiracy theorist, I don’t give a shit, honestly. Just connect the dots: outbreak in the fall of 2019 in China, yet is quickly mitigated by a country with more than a billion people, but somehow the world can’t seem to get it under control? Not just us, EVERYBODY if you DO THE RESEARCH and not listen to propaganda media in the US. And why are you so afraid to hold the CCP accountable? WTH is wrong with you people who refuse to do that? If not, you are complicit. Yeah, I said it. You went along for this ride because of hatred for ONE MAN! Wow, that dude got into your heads, didn’t he? For those of you who just jumped on the bandwagon of so much false media, shame on you. Shame on you for not doing a little f******* research. You know how many times over the last several months I had to share researchable information with dodo’s who didn’t have a clue or said, “No, that’s not true.” Yeah, are you going to believe a media that has lied repeatedly these last 4 years or are you willing to do your own research? Laziness. Pure laziness or complicity.

I am not going to rehash this from day one, I simply want to point out a few things. In the spring the demand was, “flatten the curve”. I mean, the “experts” said that. So we did, and then it went on and on. Then there was the cry for, “more testing, more testing.” So, we ramped up testing, not really (check the various professionals) knowing the efficacy of the testing process. People were getting false positives, false negatives. People would test one week and be negative and the next be positive. I think the whole design behind “massive testing” was a plus and a strike. A plus because we could say, “Look, we test more than anybody.” On the flip side, the opposition could say, “Oh my God, look how many cases we have.” And who got the blame for trying to ramp up testing? Yep, the orange man in the WH. Fast forward to late summer. Anyone with any semblance of common sense would know that once we started moving around again, getting outside, etc., that there would be another wave. But man, watch the media and you would have thought this was all careless work and ineptitude by the WH Task Force. And yet the media NEVER blamed the rioting, looting, protesting, as any sort of super spreader. Amazing how gullible we are. IF you believed that nonsense, then you should have an evaluation as soon as possible. You are either lying to yourself or you lack some serious common sense. But that is something that is not lost on the left. So, the second wave hits, but deaths drop in terms of percentages. Did the public get a fair shake at that? UH, NO! Proof that children are nearly immune and survive at 99.99% still demands of, “Close the schools!” rings through every town hall.

Due to the second wave, all states got more serious about mask mandates. Even those hateful Trump people, for the most part, were wearing masks when they couldn’t socially distance. However, the rioting, looting, shouting and screaming in the streets, in cops’ faces was all but ignored by the corrupt and disgraced media. Trump rallies, bad. Rioting and looting, good. Then, Trump gets Covid and I have never seen a more jubilant or “told you so” media. “Karma” they shouted. A man working everyday for the people, meeting with tons of people all the time. It’s no surprise he got it, but to the media’s chagrin, he quickly recovered. The bastard didn’t die. No coma. No ventilator. Shit! “Why can’t he just die?” many probably hoped.

Uh oh, Operation Warp Speed is ahead of schedule. “This is all propaganda and propping up by the President” the media claims. “He is just trying to make himself look better.” People are still f***** dying and all they care about is whether Trump will get credit for implementing an unprecedented operation. So, nope, sorry orange man, the mentally declining successor will be given all the credit by sycophants in the media. They drool at the trough of the Defecator party’s cesspool of operations. They place billboards and a death ticker on their media platforms. I thought we were all in this together? Yeah, until the Defecator party decided this was their godsend, their moment, their opportunity to (once again) exploit the vulnerable. Confuse us. Confound us. Shelter us all in place, by God. The grim reaper is on the loose and he’s coming for you. Paint blood over your front door in the hopes the evil spirit of death will simply drift on by. Credit though. It worked. An invisible force, in addition to some “curious” goings-on, defeated Trump, of course aided and abetted by the CCP.

So, now here we are, in that Dark Winter, clueless Joe predicted. Huh, I wonder how he got so wise? Amazing that his team said in ads and in tweets, they knew this was a very dangerous and deadly virus back in January. Huh, somebody better tell Lord Fauci that because he said there was no great concern at this point. You know, the guy the Defecators love to prop up until they don’t need him anymore. That’s how they do it. Use you, abuse you, and then lose you. Anyway, so most likely, 90 +% of Americans are wearing masks. Every business with signs on their doors, and yet here we are in numbers too big to ignore. What do we say now? What is the next step? Lockdown again? It didn’t work the first time, or the second, or the third, or EVER! As much as the left will deny Trump ever said this, come the spring they will say, “Look, we are most likely going to have to live with this.” Yep, just as they accused Trump of waving the white flag, like that guy is going to admit defeat, they will admit this, just wait. Just like the seasonal flu. We have vaccines for those and yet we live with them, right? There is so much you brainwashed, intransigent, and misinformed yo-yo Defecator voters don’t know.  Yeah, I’m talking to you. You have no idea what you’ve done. Your hatred and neglect for any objectivity blinded your understanding. Your intolerance for all things Trump trumped any semblance of rationale. Didn’t you ever ask yourself one time in this whole process, “Wait a minute, this doesn’t look or sound right?” No, you have to have independent thought and curiosity for that. You know, you can balance the heart and the mind, but unfortunately for so many on the left, they all feel this righteousness to just go with their heart. Last time I checked, the heart didn’t solve my problems, my mind did. Balance. Something the left severely lacks, especially those who flooded our streets this summer.

History, if we still decide to study it, will write the story of 2020 when the smoke, lies, and deception are revealed.

Message to Today's Youths in the Streets

So today’s message is a contrast in perspectives; one between us 70s and 80s kids and the current crop from the last 20 years. Not all of them. We raised 2 of them, of which neither is remotely associated with who I am talking about. I am sure you have raised some as well, and I am not casting aspersions on anyone. I am simply directing my analysis to those unhappy souls who seem to be filling our streets with such anger, frustration, self-righteousness, and indignation.

The big difference between us and you is how we view this great country. We see the beauty in her flaws. You see the flaws as unforgivable. We see opportunity. You see oppression. We value debate. You don’t know how to debate that is why you just shout and yell. We look at the sun. You howl at the moon. We let people see us. You dress in black and cover your faces. We accentuate the positives. You obsess on the negative. We look for honesty. You look for approval. We love America. You hate America. We embrace our flag. You burn our flag. We honor our history. You want to rewrite it. We say, “In God We Trust”. You trust no one and certainly not God. We respect people’s opinions. You do not. And one last thing, we had much better hair!

Perhaps you should read the following lyrics from John Mellencamp’s “Cherry Bomb” to understand how we kids of the 70s and 80s kind of dealt with life in general and our overall attitude.

When I think back about those days

All I can do is sit and smile

That's when a sport was a sport

And groovin' was groovin'

And dancin' meant everything

We were young and we were improvin'

Laughin' laughin' with our friends

Holding hands meant somethin' baby

Outside the club "Cherry Bomb"

Our hearts were really pumpin'

Say yeah, yeah, yeah

Say yeah, yeah, yeah

You see, we can sit back and smile, reflect on so much happiness, optimism, hope, and each other. You will have nothing but anger, frustration, and therapists. You will brood from your dark, deranged world, and we will sit on a beach and say, “remember all those good times?” as we look heavenward to a God of all that is and ever shall be. A God you should embrace, worship, and glorify, rather than whatever it is you embrace. This is your chance. Turn it around. See the light, be the light.

Tribute To A Great Man - My Father

I pray Our Heavenly Father by his Grace, Love, and Mercy bless you and your family. Anyone who reads my forthright posts knows that I try to lend context and perspective to what I am saying. Today, I have a very short story, so I greatly appreciate those who will read this in its entirety.

I knew a man who came from near absolute poverty. His mother died when he was 3 while trying to give birth to what would have been his baby sister. His father turned to the bottle after losing his wife and child, so this man grew up basically on the streets of a sleepy, blue collar town in PA. His Catholic grandmother did all she could to keep this boy straight, even making him become an altar boy, to which he was later kicked out of that Catholic school for “things unbecoming of a young man.” He ran with a torrid bunch of guys whose collective IQ was probably less than 100. He got kicked out of all 3 high schools in his district and he lied to join the Navy. “The Navy”, as he put it, “saved my life.” He served in the Korean Conflict, got a chevron removed (Navy ranking term) after starting a brawl in a bar in pre-Castro Havana defending a local girl who was being harassed by a fellow sailor. Defend the honor of a woman. Then he became a Navy diver just for the hell of it. Then he met a woman who would change his life forever.

It was a huge work in progress, but her undying faith, commitment, and determination to get this guy “right” began to pay off. That very man, wanting to do all he could for his family, started going to Alaska each spring to commercial fish. He started in the cannery and eventually saved enough money to buy his own boat, the Snug Three. His kids would not see their father from Easter until Labor Day. This went on for about 6-7 years. Finally, the man and his wife wanted a better life for their kids and they packed it all up and moved to Florida. This high school (kicked-out) man sold mobile homes, used cars, worked as a foreman at the Port of Palm Beach, you name it, and then came his moment. He got a sales job, and from driving his van from Fort Pierce to Miami to the west coast of Florida, climbed the corporate ladder. In less than 5 years with the company, he was promoted to regional sales manager with 13 states under his control. Did I say he got his GED through the Navy? He went on to work for this company for 20 years before retiring. This man seemed to embody the term, American Dream. From poverty and told, “You will never amount to anything or wind up in jail” to becoming a corporate executive pretty much defied the odds and became a great man. That man never met a stranger, only a friend he hadn’t met yet. Whether you loved him or hated him, you remembered him. This man was NEVER HANDED ANYTHING. He earned and built nearly everything he and his family had. He took his wife to places she never thought she would travel to. Ever the adventurer, never letting life slip from his hands. Oh, and that woman we talked about, she was there every step of the way, teaching, loving, supporting, and yes scolding. August 29 would be 59 years of marriage, but unfortunately, they will not celebrate it together. That man, MY (our) FATHER, passed away at 6:50 AM on Friday, August 14. He was 82 years and 2 months. He will no longer be able to take those walks on the beach with my Mom or blissfully gaze at a sunset on this Earth.

We (our entire family) know where my Father is and we take great solace and comfort in that. He is reunited with his Lord and Saviour, and family members who have preceded him in that Heavenly Kingdom. I smile when I think of that eternal bliss and peace, but I am ANGRY. This did not have to happen.

Let me make this perfectly clear, my father passed away from Covid, but Covid did not kill my father, the CHINESE GOVERNMENT killed my father, Covid was just their weapon of choice. More than 760,000 people WORLDWIDE didn’t have to die from this. My father was still active, swinging a golf club, taking walks, holding hands with my Mom as they did so. We were just talking about our next golf game. They were looking forward to moving in with my wife and I because I couldn’t in good conscience continue to allow them to stay where they were. This decision was made final just 2 days before my Dad started getting sick. My Mom tested positive also. So far, she is doing well. You see what I mean? My parents weren’t hanging out in the clubs, going to restaurants, crowding into jammed places. NO, they were quarantined in their assisted living facility; relegated to a 300 square foot room for more than 2 weeks. We could only see them through the window. The last people who spent his remaining moments were people he didn’t know. I begged with the doctor to at least allow one person to see him. NOPE, SORRY! The CDC has control of your life now. Which brings me to my final point. My father taught me to fight the good fight, and here is the fight, this virus should not have become a political game. Yet it seems some people don’t care about life or family or community. WE SHOULD ALL BE UNITED IN FIGHTING THIS not each other. Who gives a shit about the efficacy of this therapeutic or that preventive. Rather than blame the federal government’s response, let’s look for solutions. That hospital had everything they needed for my dad: steroids, therapeutics, plasma, incredible medical personnel. There was no, sorry we don’t have that. TRY EVERYTHING YOU CAN! WOULDN’T YOU DO THAT FOR YOUR FAMILY MEMBER?  Damn right you would. There are still so many things we are not aware of with this and we just need to really make sure we protect the most vulnerable, but even in that, in a place we thought would be safe was not. I do not blame the facility, I do not blame the federal govt. I blame the Chinese government. Period! They stole more memories to be made for my father and mother and for us kids and other family members. Shameful, disgraceful, and despicably mean. May our Heavenly Father bless you all and let’s get together again to fight the virus, not each other. We are the UNITED STATES, not the divided states or divided people of America. God’s love to all. If you can, call your Mom. Call your Dad.

Who They Are

A message to the hateful left, dishonest media, never Trumpers, and Trump haters. Your lust for power blinds any and all objectivity, rejects dissension or opposing views, and sadly, ruins so many lives unnecessarily.

So, over the last 6 months or so while you all were quietly applauding the riots, the looting, the destruction, WE were paying attention and taking notes. While you secretly cheered for the China virus to keep us down, WE put on our working clothes and went back to work. While you yelled “Defund the Police.” WE painted the thin blue line thicker and thicker. While you called and continue to call Trump every conceivable name horrible to the eye, WE dug in our heels of support. When the media manipulated the news, WE found our own information and truth. While you rooted for America’s demise, WE prayed for its continued greatness. While you wanted to keep our kids out of school, WE became the educators. While the swamp creatures plotted, WE looked for their replacements. While you dismissed the TRUE CORRUPT, WE championed the RULE OF LAW. While you called us racists, WE were shaking the hands and embracing our brothers and sisters of color.

You see, when you blow your balloon too full of helium it explodes in a huge fashion. When you paint with a broad brush you miss the details. When you lie to the point of delusion, you lose yourself, your soul. When you swim naked, you get exposed. When you think you have all the answers, you have NO answers. When you think you know everything, you know nothing. While you all canvassed and inundated social media, WE were busy living our lives, loving our country, working to support our families, praying to OUR GOD, and giving thanks.

Those I mentioned at the outset are nothing more than frauds. They are posers, liars, plotters, propagandists, power hungry….and most of all…..LOSERS! I have said this to you all for years. You are on the wrong side of RIGHT. YET, I pray for your tortured and lost soul. God is merciful and benevolent. HE is ready to accept your penance. OUR NATION UNDER GOD will live on in its greatness because it is an idea that endures. LIFE, LIBERTY, and the PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS. To us, we suffered a temporary setback, but because of what we believe, you can NEVER take away from us FREEDOM. For you, any defeat is a scar that just doesn’t seem to heal. There is so much hatred, discontent within your soul, and I pity you, but I pray that you may find PEACE in the darkness of your torture.

Riots, Looting, Who Benefits?

In the midst of all the chaos and confusion that seems to be an everyday occurrence in some of our biggest cities, my fear is two-fold. One, the people in the streets are not acting in the best interests for whom they say they are acting on their behalf, and two, the onlookers must not stand idly by as if rubber-necking an accident. This is no accident. The onlookers need not confront the “street folks” on their turf, so to speak, because it will only lead to more violence and destruction, and by the way, stop the whole, “Love trumps hate” motto. It doesn’t. Education defeats hate. The law defeats hate. No, the onlookers need to condemn the politicians who do not condemn these acts and who, in many ways, condone it. The adage, “What you do not condemn, you condone” is true in this. The onlookers need to be proactive in contacting politicians, writing letters to their local newspapers, and voting out those who will not protect the citizenry. "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has." Margaret Mead. But what if those committed citizens do not have our best interests in mind? What if the other thoughtful, committed citizens just stood on the sidelines? I would rather consider this, "We are bound by ideals that teach us what it means to be citizens. Every child must be taught these ideals. Every citizen must uphold them.... I ask you to be citizens. Citizens, not spectators. Citizens, not subjects. Responsible citizens building communities of service and a nation of character." George W. Bush.  If you sit idly by and do nothing then expect everything.

Also, it is important for us to understand that this is not so much a racial issue as the protestors would have you believe, but more so a cultural ineptitude of understanding. Again, education, and I mean, objective, holistic, and inclusive education is the key to reversing this trend of race and class war. I would offer this analogy. Let’s imagine that each of us is a judge. We are hearing two sides of a case. One side presents their argument, the other has their chance. No interruptions, no objections, no courtroom theatrics. The judge (you) then makes a decision based on the evidence presented equally by both sides. But both sides must present evidence based cases. If we are to overcome racial identities and simply call ourselves American, then why are there African-Americans, Asian-Americans, Hispanic-Americans? Why do we have to have black studies or women’s studies classes in college? Why do we need diversity classes in school? Those are not designed to bring together the idea of the human race, but differentiate us. Yes, there are folks with different skin color, and folks of differing sexes, but I talk as the human race, where either (or both) color and sex do not call attention to itself, but more so as an indicator of character and contribution. If the texts would simply include all in one text, then we would not have to take part in a clear, political, and cultural attempt to shape our thinking. Simply go to an anthology, open it up, and you will see writers of all walks, nationalities and races. It is not an overt attempt to sway our thinking one particular way, or “educate us” because they think we are ignorant. Do we not read poetry and short stories of “The Harlem Renaissance” in our English textbooks? Do we not read hispanic, asian, and women’s literature as well? Do we not learn of the great contributions of blacks, hispanics, asians, and so on in our history books (if instructed objectively)? America’s diversity is her strength.

One need only go to Switzerland, Germany, France, China, and so on. Read their literature. Read their history books. Do you think they are as diverse as us? Not even close, and yet we are constantly being reminded by certain groups that we are racists, systemic and otherwise. Did racism stop Carver from becoming a scientist? Was Carver’s advanced degrees a result of racism? Was Sarah Breedlove a victim of racism when she created the Madam CJWalker line of hair care products? Was it racism that prevented Martha Jones, inventor from being the first black woman to have something patented? Did racism stop Oprah? Thomas Sowell? Dr. Ben Carson? Harold Amos? Barack Obama and a slew of others? There is no denying there are still issues, but if we continue to draw the distinction of color, race, and/or gender, are we not simply perpetuating the problem? Are we not simply classifying by identifying? I find it ironic that a certain segment of our culture looks to binary as an option, yet still draws heavily on race, color, and gender as profound differences.

When we enact quotas, are we not basically saying, “You are not up to our standards, so we have to make special standards”? If we do away with standardized tests, are we not saying that blacks and/or hispanics are inferior in the world of academia, and yet I just provided a handful of great black Americans that would argue otherwise? If we do not recognize that “all” kids should have a choice in where they go to school, are we then saying, stay quiet, mind your place? You can insert hispanics in this same argument, so I apologize if it seems that I am neglecting them. On the contrary, their contributions have been no less than other minorities who inhabit this great country.

I find it disheartening that political parties use these races to pit against one another when it is they who supposedly espouse unity. I find it disappointing that certain groups continue to badger and point fingers at people they don’t even know and just assume that because of where they are raised or how they speak, they are racists. Or, if someone is a Christian, surely they are racist. The true racists are the race baiters. The true racists continue to use color as the problem rather than understand and work on the solution. Brow-beating someone into feeling guilty about the color of their skin is nothing more than a scare tactic, highly inflammatory, and stereotyping. They spit and scoff at the quote used by MLK, Jr., where he said, “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.” Too bad those race baiters can’t honor MLK’s wisdom and wish.

I could offer mounds of statistics, data, and research that would vigorously challenge the people rioting in the streets, but as we have seen, the “science” of it all is being dismissed because the narrative plays more to the emotional and not the rational, reasonable, and scientific. A woman crying in the streets for justice or equality has more effect than actual data and science would suggest, but how many of us pursue that information? We have become glued to the specter of the time and the accident taking place. We are part of the problem when we do not activate our human decency in response to misinformation and misguided people.

Race Around the World

Today's international social studies lesson brought to you by research, context, and perspective. Not sure how much of that is taught exist in them there high-falutin' liberal colleges that put our kids in incredible debt, so in response to their indoctrination programs, I offer the following.

Yeah, and let's toss in the media and extreme groups that like to talk about how racist America is. This is not to say that we don't have race problems in America. we do, but what I like to do is try to add three things to a conversation, article, or other form of communication, and they are context, perspective, and scope. I will say that a lot hoping to not sound condescending, but I find I have to mention those three words to liberals and leftists all the time. I am not sure it is in their vernacular. Anyway, let's get to this. Here are some facts about race.

In the UK, (2011) 83.6% of the people are white. 8.6% Scottish (thank you very much), 4.4% Welsh...wait for it....3.4% black, and others.

Germany: (2015) Ya Deutschland! Watch this. 91.5% white. Blacks? negligible. Not even registered, but why? Here is an interesting quote, "The government doesn’t see any need to measure the number of ethnic minorities in certain schools, universities, and jobs, because it doesn’t want to divide its citizens." Huh! No labels, what a concept.

Wait, there's more.

Spain: (2018) 86.5% Spanish, Other, 10.5%. They must like to just group everyone together.

And for my Italian heritage, bellisimo! (2015) A whopping 95% Italian, 5% others, including 1.5% black.

Oh, and let's not forget our French amis, (est. 2007) 85% French white, 10% Northern Africa (including Muslims), 3.5% black.

And just for kicks, Japan, 99% Japanese.

Should we even venture to the Scandinavian countries?

No wonder other countries don't have race problems, because so many of them don't have near the diversity of US.

We seem to be a dysfunctional family, but despite all that hegemony (taking a leap of faith on that word) around in other countries, we are the greatest country on the planet with statistics like this: (2016) 62% white, 16.9% hispanic, 13% black, 3.6% Asian, Other: 6% (Native American, Pacific Islander, MIddle Easterner, etc.)

Okay, some people ask, "So what! What does all this mean?"

When you have diversity, oftentimes you have a difference of opinions, lifestyles, cultures, and so on. Sometimes you fight. Sometimes it goes over the top, but diversity is our strength. It allows us to look through the lens of others. It offers us an opportunity to other experiences. It promotes unity because if divided, it fractures the very idea of why we are here. Diversity is a two-edged sword, for sure, but the great thing about our country is that no other country on the planet gets more cooperation, unity, love, peace, and progress than our little corner of diversity. BUT, the seeds of evil can and will try to exploit that diversity for its nefarious purposes. It will pit one against another. People of all races, listen to me,  WE are NOT what they say we are. Do we have a ways to go? Absolutely. But I believe in US over them. I believe the path forward is hand to hand, shoulder to shoulder, not social media post or media piped or race baiting. Progress is not measured in rioting, violently protesting, or looting for the sake of reparations. It is person to person, conversation to conversation, commitment to commitment....on both sides. Our internal truths and conscience will prevail. If we can just get those who speak the double tongue out of the way, we WILL DO IT!  Maybe it's time to drop the divisive coloration and live by those words MLK, Jr. so eloquently pointed out, the content of one's character.

Amazing! See what a Constitution, Freedom, Capitalism, and "real" opportunity can do? There is no race in those words.

Session over. GOD BLESS AMERICA!
